Fleeting, simple moments. This painting was inspired by a photo I managed to snap of my son as he sped from boyhood to manhood. Like many teenagers, he was not too keen on me photographing him, his folded arms displaying his reluctance. I love how the sunlight shone on his skin and can almost feel the warmth of the rays on his shoulders and bare arms. You can capture it, but like the sun, you have to enjoy it in the moment!
